This past weekend I attended the Spring Meet from the College Park Tuning club at the University of Maryland. They run this event every year, and it has gotten quite popular. The last time I had gone was a few years ago, and a good amount of cars showed up, now it’s in the tune of 1,000’s of cars.
Every car that attends, also submits at least $1 or a can of food that is donated to charity. Last year over $5,000 was provided! I ended up showing a few hours late, so apparently I missed out on a lot of cars, but there was still a lot of people there, and well worth the hour drive. Take a look at the pictures:
Here’s my Viper as well as my buddy Jason’s RT/10:

A custom Dodge Charger limo:

The event had a mobile dyno, here we can see a Firebird getting some numbers:

Nice blacked out Porsche:

A few nice Nissan 350Z’s. The blue one has a Veilside widebody kit on it:

This was one customized Hummer with an awesome suspension on it. No detail was untouched:

Here’s the system in the back of the Hummer. The picture does no justice, but the subwoofer (An MTX Thunder Jack Hammer 9900) in the car is absolutely huge. It’s 350lbs, 22″, and capable of being louder (in decibels) then an airplane engine! I believe it costs about $6,000!

Here we can see a nice 68′ Z28 Camaro pulling in, along with a sweet Supra and BMW M3:

Here’s an awesome “Venom” styled paint job on a motorcycle. It turned out the it (and the red Supra behind it) was owned by a friends boyfriend that I went to college with:

Nice Porsche GT3 with a carbon fiber spoiler:

This guys 350Z actually has a bunch of parts from my old 350Z that I had sold to him…it was like getting a blast from the past:

Here’s a nice Infiniti G35 coupe with a Top Secret widebody kit and paint scheme:

I’m a huge fan of the new twin turbo BMW 335i coupe. Here, we can see two white ones, they looks amazing with custom wheels:

A gorgeous orange Lamborghini Diablo VT showed up at the event:

Nice couple of black Acura NSX’s:

A clean 427 Shelby Cobra:

Here’s my buddies Nissan 350Z. I haven’t seen his car in about a year, and he completely changed the look of it…it looks much better now, and features a ton of carbon fiber goodness:

I’m not sure how true this is, but I’m told that this Subaru WRX has about $250,000 worth of work done to it! Even if it’s not true, it definitely has a ton of money dumped into it:

It’s hard to tell, but if you look closely you can see that the car is lifted up a tiny bit…it has built-in hydraulic jacks, simply awesome!

There’s a ton of custom carbon fiber all over the inside of the car:
